This fun camp
produces clear talkers!
  • Weekly themes such as “camping out,” “nature,” “outer space,” and “water play”
  • Games and theme activities for speech sound production
  • Projects that make speech practice fun
  • Individualized attention from a licensed speech therapist
  • Peer modeling
  • Participating parents will learn how to promote speech skill development during daily activities
By completing this camp, campers will learn to:
  • Produce age-appropriate speech sounds at the sound, word, sentence, and conversation levels
  • Communicate during every day activities using clear, mature-sounding speech
  • Be more easily understood by others
  • Speak more fluently and comfortably with others
This exciting camp builds complex, skilled, responsive, socially adept and cognitively flexible brains.
  • This camp will develop play skills using funfilled activities involving motor and sensory experiences, which will enhance campers’ self-esteem and sense of accomplishment
  • Continuous opportunities for peer interaction and social connections
  • Individual attention from a pediatric occupational therapist
  • Participating parents will learn to support and promote play skills development


By completing this camp, campers will learn to:
  • Learn to implement new play skills and try them with peers
  • Give free rein to their imagination and devise play strategies
  • Gain self confidence as a result of various hand-on play activities

For children who have difficulty using social laguage/pragmatic skills in their community
 

Talk-A-Lot Camp

For children who have difficulty using language to express themselves, or have difficulty being understood

Write On!

For children who need a jump on handwriting and keyboarding skills
This fun camp brings the campers into the community!
  • Learn new social language/pragmatic skills
  • Practice through role-playing games
  • Plan and attend community outings
  • Opportunities for parent participation to facilitate learning of skills and increase carryover of skills at home
  • Individualized attention from a Licensed speech/language pathologist therapist



 

 

By completing this camp, campers will learn to:

  • Use appropriate conversation skills such as turn-taking and topic maintenance
  • Demonstrate appropriate eye contact, body language, and awareness of others’ personal space
  • Monitor their vocal loudness and pitch
  • Use these pragmatic skills in restaurants, the library, and at the park
 
This fun camp gets our little campers talking!
  • Enjoy weekly themes such as “animals,” “family and me,” and “the beach”
  • Participate in a variety of camp activities such as circle time, arts and crafts, music/ dancing and snack time

    By completing this camp, campers will learn to:
  • Express needs and wants using age appropriate sentences
  • Describe people and things in their environment using concepts of size, texture, and
    quantity
  • Talk about events using the past, present, and future tenses, as appropriate for their age
This fun camp gives our campers a good foundation for writing and keyboarding!
  • Includes gross, fine, and sensory motor activities for writing and keyboarding
  • Participating parents will learn how to promote skill development at home
  • Campers will receive individualized attention from a licensed pediatric occupational therapist


By completing this camp, campers will learn to:
  • Use proper letter formation
  • Be aware of letter size, spacing, and position on the writing line
  • Use the most efficient writing grasp
  • Use proper keyboarding technique
  • Write/type for longer time periods without fatigue
