Parenting with Purpose: May - October 2010 Parenting with Purpose: January - April 2010 We offer a weekly adult treatment group to practice communication and problem-solving in a social context. Members may include people who had a stroke, degenerative disease, traumatic brain injury, or other communication impairment. Working together in this environment allows the team to share ideas, practice strategies, establish supportive relationships, and network with other families coping with communication loss. Family members and caretakers are an essential part of the group as participants learn how to implement communication strategies at home as part of everyday life.
